Gear oil should be added to the same oil with the original grade shall not be mixed with different grades of oil used, the same as the viscosity of different grades of oil allowed to mix.
Oil should wait for the gear to cool down without risk of burning up, but should remain warm, because the completely cooled, oil viscosity, oil discharge difficult.
